1. Pre-Job Coordination
Repair order is signed and job file created. A deposit is collected.
-Parts are ordered electronically then received and stocked in delivery bins.
-Vehicle damage re-checked then vehicle and parts dispatched to technician
2. Re-Inspection Cycle
-Vehicle disassembled, parts removed for reinsertion of damage. All necessary parts removed to access all damage, especially to inner unistructure.
-Supplemental reports are written for insurance company by service writer and technician if required.
-Insurance company and customer notified of supplemental damage or additional work. Insurance appraise or adjuster may need to personally inspect vehicle and approve necessary additional work.
3. Frame/Body Work/Painting
-Final sheet-metal parts are removed or metal worked as necessary.
-Engine, radiator, drivetrain, suspension and interior parts removed if necessary to gain access to damage.
-Vehicle set up on unibody repair equipment.
-Structural members and unibody pulled to correct inaccuracies caused by the collision.
-New panels primed prepped and painted.
-Unibody areas are treated to provide a solid surface to prevent corrosion.
-Panels replaced or repaired. Welded, metal worked caulked then vehicle checked for dimensional accuracy.
-Final painting of welded areas takes place.
-Engine, drivetrain, suspension and engine compartment accessories are reinstalled.
-Outer sheet-metal is fitted, feathered, sanded and all outer surfaces painstakingly finished.
-Body and metal work is inspected.
-Vehicle primed using acid etching, rust-inhibiting primer, then water block sanded using progressively finer grits to ensure a smooth, flawless surface.
-Surface washed and treated to remove grease, tar, smudges, silicon and any other contamination that may inhibit a quality paint application and finish.
-Door jambs and inner edges painted prior to exterior surface painting, if necessary.
-Areas are taped, bagged and masked, cleaned again, blown off with compressed air then blown off again in the downdraft paint booth and washed with solvents to ensure a quality finish.
-Vehicle sprayed with up to seven coats of pant, including clear coat, depending on color, make, and model
-Vehicle is then carefully damasked.
4. Reassembly Completion
-Interior panels, trim moldings, mirrors and accessories remounted.
-Sublet work such as pinstripping completed.
-Alignment and air conditioning recharge performed.
-Windshield and trim reinstalled
-Wiring reconnected, computer modules and sensors reattached, lights and systems checked.
-Final Quality Control inspection.
-Vehicle washed and detailed.
Final test drive and inspection.
-You are called to pick up completed vehicle!
